Tomball Independent School District
Tomball Independent School District (Tomball ISD) serves Tomball, Texas, and the surrounding area, including about approximately 14,800 students in 83 square miles of northern Harris County and southwestern Montgomery County, Texas. It is located about 15 miles southwest of The Woodlands, Texas, and 30 miles from downtown Houston. Its motto is, “Not just a district, a destination.”
Tomball ISD is fully-accredited by the Texas Education Agency for PK-12 and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools grades for 7-12. Specifically, Tomball ISD serves the City of Tomball, Lakewood Grove, Northpointe, Village Creek, Creekside Park Village (a section of The Woodlands), and the communities of Hufsmith, Decker Prairie, and Rose Hill.
Tomball’s first school opened in 1908 and Tomball ISD came into existence in 1937. Tomball ISD consists of ten Elementary Schools, three Intermediate Schools, three Junior High Schools, three High Schools, and one online school.
Tomball ISD’s Elementary schools are: Canyon Pointe Elementary, Creekside Forest Elementary, Creekview Elementary, Decker Prairie Elementary, Lakewood Elementary, Rosehill Elementary, Timber Creek Elementary, Tomball Elementary, Wildwood Elementary, and Willow Creek Elementary. Intermediate Schools (grades 5-6) include Northpointe Intermediate, Oakcrest Intermediate, and Tomball Intermediate.
Tomball ISD Junior High Schools include Creekside Park Junior High, Tomball Junior High, and Willow Wood Junior High. Tomball ISD High Schools include Tomball High School, Tomball Memorial High School, and Tomball Star Academy. Tomball Star Academy is an early college campus that allows students who enroll to complete both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree (60 college credits) by the time they graduate. Connections Academy is a tuition-free online school for grades 3-12.
